(I know that this is not Middle East related, but it angers me, so I'm writing about it anyway. That's the beauty of having your own site. lol)
Here is a quick experiment for you. go to www.Google.com and type the word "Jew" in the search engine. The expected result would be links to sites containing information on Jewish culture, education, religion, etc. But the actual result may shock you. What you will see at the top of the list of results is an anti-semitic website called Jew Watch.
The question is why is it there? If someone typed in another keyword/term such as "African American" would it seem logical to add Ku Klux Klan related links to that term? Of course not. It would be insensitive, and flat out racist to do such a thing. Therefore this situation should not be treated any different.
Jew Watch was created by a former Librarian named Frank Weltner. If that name is not familiar to you, allow me to shed some light on it. Frank Weltner is a member of the neo-Nazi group known the National Alliance. He claims that Jew Watch is an "educational site", but his being connected to the National Alliance should destroy any theory about his claims being truthful. If that is not enough, he has also created other hate sites: Enslavementofmankind.com and Ethnicsurvivalkit.com. Both express hateful views towards people of any ethnic background which differs from his. As proof of this, here is a quote from his site Enslavementofmankind.com:
"Here, the Jews along with their Negroes, Hispanics, Chinese, Moslems, and others that they have piped into America, Australia, and Western Europe, could be contained forever, isolated from general humanity, and, if they attempted to escape or to change the attitudes of the world to let them go to exploit and destroy again, they could then be summarily killed in a rapid manner, thus saving the world from their onslaughts of hideousness."
That is the worst form of hate. He is, in essence, calling for ethnic cleansing of all other races!
The purpose of this letter is to inform everyone of Google's questionable activities with regard to this issue. It is my hope that Google did not intend to purposely place links to that site as a top response to the search term "Jew". However, attempts to convince Google to change their search engine so as to exclude
Jew Watch from such search terms have been unsuccessful, therefore, that hope is fading fast. I want to make clear that it is not my intention to enfringe on the 1st amendment rights of Mr. Weltner. As much as I disagree with what he has to say, he does have the right to say it. But placing links to such a site at the top of the results page for the search term "Jew" has nothing to do with freedom of speech. When someone enters that search term, they should be given links to sites containing actual historical, educational, and religious information about the Jewish people. Not links to sites which are dedicated to defaming and ethnically cleansing the Jewish people from the earth.
I urge all who read this to follow the link below and sign the online petiton to remove Jew Watch from the Google search engine. Please make your voices heard. This kind of hate has to stop before it grows out of control. Thank you for your time.
