The copts are Egypts indigenous people. They are largely Christian, and are now the minority. Sadly, ever since the Muslims invaded Egypt and imposed shari'a law on the country, the Copts are forced to live in a state of humiliation called "Dhimmism". According to Islamic law, all non-muslims are forced to convert or face execution. The exceptions to this rule are Christians and Jews. They are referred to in the Koran as "people of the book". They are allowed to live amongst muslims but only if they follow the strict rules designed to oppress and humiliate them until they convert Islam. They must pay the "Jizya", or tax (sort of like paying the Mafia their dues in return for protection), they are not allowed to worship or openly express their faith in public. If they are caught doing so, the penalty is death. They are not allowed to build any new churches or temples without approval from the President himself. They are not allowed to convert any muslims to Christianity. If they are caught doing so, of course, the penalty is death. Muslims, however are allowed to convert Christians to Islam. Coptic men are not allowed to marry Muslim women. Coptic women are allowed to marry Muslim men but are forced to convert to Islam shortly thereafter. Copts are required to have their religion printed on their Identification cards so everyone will be made aware of them (obviously a means of keeping tabs on them, as well as insuring that they will be treated differently than the Muslim population is treated).
The recent murder in New Jersey of Hossam Armanious and his family (who were Coptic Christians) is, as of right now, being investigated as a robbery but if one examines closely how the Copts are treated in Egypt and compares it to what happened in New Jersey, we can see a Disturbing parallel. The Armanious family was very proud of their faith and very vocal in expressing their Christian beliefs. They often debated on a middle eastern chat website called PalTalk. Two months before the Armanious family was murdered, Hossam Armanious received a death threat from some one in the chat room stating : "You'd better stop this bull....or we are gonna track you down like a chicken and kill you!". On the 14th of January, the Armanious family was brutally slaughtered. Their throats were slashed while they were bound and gagged. The 15 year old daughter of Hossam who had a tatoo of a Coptic cross on her wrist had her wrists slashed. To the average person, this could seem to have been anyone, but to a person who knows the Koran and knows about the mistreatment of the Copts in Egypt, this is an obvious ritual killing meant to send a message to America's Coptic community. The killings were done according to Koran 47:4 where Mohamed tells his followers to strike at the neck of unbelievers. So we know that the family was threatened before they were killed, we know that the family is of Coptic background and we know how they are treated in Egypt, We also know that the killings were done exactly as Mohamed commanded Muslims to kill non-Muslims, and to top that off, we now know that nothing was taken from them or from inside their home. So...why is it being investigated as a "robbery"? Even the most inexperienced investigator would notice the strange coincidence here. This needs to be addressed and the murderers brought to justice. If we just sweep it all under the rug and pretend it's something other than the obvious, we have a long costly road ahead of us, because the extremists who committed these killings will not stop there. If they see that nothing will be done and they will get away scott free, they will become more bold and more violent. It has to be stopped now before more attacks are carried out.
